I agree that Copley Press should "sell only to a buyer who will uphold the standards of quality journalism and its importance to a strong community."

John Reinier

Without the Repository, where would we get our news? This means local governments, sports, school issues, businesses. Also, what about newsworthy articles about people in our surrounding
communities? All these items are important to me, and a lot of other people believe in this newspaper, too.

We need to know that there is a news source we can still count on ALL THE TIME, whether the news is good or bad.

PLEASE KEEP THIS NEWSPAPER ROLLING OFF THE PRESSES FOR A LONG TIME TO COME!!

"My father worked 42 years at The Repository as a printer and was a proud member of the union.
I lived through the strikes and the buyouts.

"The Repository has started with the buyouts and, hopefully, they will keep enough staff to maintain a quality newspaper. The bottom line for any
new owner will be profit.

"Hopefully, the new owner and workers will be creative together to be profitable and maintain quality journalism and community coverage."

Hello
I don't see how we as loyal readers can be certain that the buyer will uphold the same integrity and feeling of trust that we have had for so long.

It is a must that the new owner take into consideration the value of all readers whether online or by delivery and maintain the same relationship with them.

Thank you
The greatest gift is love

Beacon Journal retirees support your efforts. A photo of Guild members and information from your web site was posted March 1 on the BJ Retirees blog at http://bjretirees.blogspot.com.

You also might want to visit the BJ Retirees web site which includes among other things a Blog Wall of Honor listing BJ staff members who resigned voluntarily to save the jobs of colleagues. There is a link to the web site on the blog. The web site is at http://www.acorn.net/bjretirees.

Your comments are welcome and we will be happy to post information on our blog and web site about developments at the Rep.
